I would suggest getting a Dunlop pot from Tom Bradshaw here on the forum. You can find the link in the "vendors" section.

Hi Tony, George is correct about getting the Dunlop pot from Tom Bradshaw. I've gotten those from him when I had pot type pedals. His do not have the gear on them, and he used to include some basic instructions regarding connection points. The only trick to using those is you do have to insure you get the terminals hot enough when applying the solder to them. The terminals for the wires are not as easy to connect the wires as the older type pots. If you have any questions about them Tom will help you out. Once you get them connected though they should last quite a while.

thank you all for the info... i see in the pics of the replacement in a 120 pedal.. the inside of the pedal in these pics does not look like mine.
i have 2 L120's... these pots do not sit inline like the one in the pics. although i assume it will work just as good in mine. i was wonering how old that pedal is in the pics? i have never seen that set up before! thanks again...

Tony, the pedal in the pics Greg Cutshaw posted w/replacement info is the standard Goodrich 120 that hasn't changed in 30+ years. The volume pot you want is this as they are the most reliable these days:

Tony, when I replaced the pot in my pedal, it was also different than the pictures I had seen, and also different than in the illustration sent with the pot. It also looked like it might not even fit. I called and talked to Tom about it, and he said he had experimented with the Goodrich pedals that had different mountings of the pot, and he said in EVERY case the pot did fit with no problems. He did say though, that at first he thouhgt it might not in one or more cases, but he proved they would in fact fit every one of the different mountings. Though you do have to be mindful as to how the wires are soldered on so that they don't interfere with anything.

Thank you Chuck & Kevin, I see now on Tom's site that pot has that gear removed. I was ready to pull out pots from my old sho-bud...but thought not a good idea there. Seems like less room to retro in the sho-bud pedals.
Thank you all again for the info...
I wish you all...the best in the New Year!

I've had several of these wear out after only 2-3 months. Maybe they've improved over the past couple years, but I won't buy anything other than the Dunlop Hotz Pots from Tom Bradshaw.

And yes, they do fit in a Goodrich L120 pedal. I have yet to wear out the first one I bought over 4 years ago.

I had a (Canadian)replacemnt pot put in by the Goodrich bro's at an i.s.g.c. and it did not last 6 months.
I would not recomend the Canadian pots.
