Fender Quad-8 long scale

Post by chas smith »

Fender long scale Q-8, made 3-54. If you like chrome, and who doesn't, this 34lb (58lbs in the case with the legs) bundle of joy is for you. Everything works except the tuning key for the 1st string on the first neck, but you can't reach it anyway, so it's not like it's going to hamper your style. I did replace the gear, and that didn't solve the problem and I'll include the original gear, or put it back on, if you like.

The paint is not in great shape and when I got it, there was no case. It now has a Cush Case. Originally, the lead guitar player for Motley Crue had it, with the 4th neck strung up with 6 strings. Apparently, one of his friends told him he looked stupid playing it so he brought it to Norman's Rare Guitars and traded it for something. I walked in 15 minutes after he left and got it.

I'm asking $2500 plus shipping. I live in Los Angeles and will probably have the UPS Store pack it. I'm in and out and not always around a computer, if I don't respond quickly, please bear with me.

Well, if you think I'm asking too much, and you want it, make an offer --

As a child of the 80's, I would buy this just because Mick Mars owned it; being a child of the 80's, I do not have the money. 8)

That is so awesome that Mick Mars owned this guitar! I remember seeing a video of Motley Crue and showing Mick playing this guitar. I can't remember the song, but it was probably on the Dr. Feelgood album.
