Real nice deal here. Looks to be all original. I think this is the Model 6140, right? Very similar to the Model 6139 (E9 3+1) that I bought new in 1974.

If I had the cash, I'd love to add this to my stable. :)

Thanks all for the kind words. Now all I need is a little do-re-mi.

This thread now has THE MOST views of any in the For Sale section...its passed Herby Wallace's thread (a milestone)! It is time to get this sold and pay b0b some rent.

Keep those offers coming in.... and have a Happy New Year!

Still time to make a deal before 2011. Of course, doing a deal on 1-1-11 @ 1:11 pm would be cool...

Blond Sho-Bud original owner

Post by Terri Crank Lane »

I just found this forum today and was surprised to see this guitar listed here. My father, Coy Crank, was the original owner. It is an exceptional guitar, bought new in the early 70's in Nashville from Sho-Bud and played in many gigs. Geoff, if you have any questions about it just let me know. Glad to see someone has taken good care of it.

Very cool Terri! Happy New Year and welcome to the Forum. I'd love to hear more about your father and this guitar...feel free to email me with any information you'd like to share.

I may well keep the guitar, as it is WONDERFUL and unique. Maybe 2011 will be the year I put in the seat time that this guitar deserves.

Coy Crank's C6th Sho-Bud

Post by D Watson »

You know Geoff, just because it has pedals, doesn't
mean you have to play pedals. All of the same C6th
non pedal music is still on there. Happy New Year.

Very nice guitar.
I hope the buyer leaves it just the way it is as it is perfect.
If it were a lefty it would fit fine with my LDG.
Good luck,
Lefty

Thanks Wes. Got the email. I'm presently being held in a small room, overlooking some body of water, in a foreign country. Should be able to "escape"
on 2/1. Unless, my luck changes and I'm sentenced to life here! :whoa:

I'll be in touch...
