Dairy State Steel Guitar Show in Wisconsin Rapids

Post by Craig A Davidson »

Our tenth annual Dairy State Steel Show will be March 18-20 2011. We have a pretty good line-up started with David Church on Friday doing a show before our Friday night jam. Saturday and Sunday along with all our usually fine players we will also have Leona Williams and Johnny Cox. We will be sending out our invites but you players that want to play don't have to wait for the invite. Just contact Susie or me and we will add you to the list. Hope to see all of you there.
2013 Williams D-10, 2019 Williams D-10, 1970 Fender Twin, Evans SE200, Fender Tonemaster Twin, Hilton pedal, Jagwire Strings.

Hey Craig, sounds like a great line-up. Love to see Johnny again. I saw both Leona and Johnny up at Midwest Country a couple of years ago, and they were great.

Looking forward to seeing a great show, as usual. Say hi to Susie for me.

See you in March.

Also adding to the line-up of featured players, will be Danny Hullihen. He not only will be playing a couple excellent sets for us, but he will also be bringing the girls and the Jagwire strings.

Headliner Change

Post by Craig A Davidson »

Well already we have a headliner change. Johnny Cox has taken a gig with a traveling artist and will not be able to make the trip to Wisconsin in March. In his place we will have Russ Hicks who will delight and charm us with his talents.

Sorry that Johnny won't be there, but he is being replaced by a great player, Russ Hicks. It will be good to see Russ again. I hope that Johnny has a great gig and can make it to Wisconsin some other time.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Merry Christmas to All.

Sorry I had to cancel this. My new job with Gene Watson will have me on the road that weekend. Russ and Leona will do a great show. They work together often and Russ knows her material much better than I. Enjoy.

Judy and I really enjoyed our first visit last year. We have already booked our room for 2011. Thanks to the event organizers for all their hard work.

Craig,

I had sent you an email a few days ago about the show but I never heard back from you, so I just wanted to be sure you had received it.

Thanks,

Craig,
We really enjoyed the couple of times we did your show. It is a "top notch" show in every way. I can't say for sure yet, but, "Leona" is really tempting us!! :) And Russ Hicks is a truely great steelman with "legendary" status and countless "credits"!!! It will be a GREAT show, no ifs ands or butts about it!!! Will we make it? Time will tell.
Seen you with Maggie Mae on MWC.....good job!

Say hi to Sue for us!

Me too

You can count me in too, Craig. I'm really looking forward to it.

If possible, I'd like the same time slot as previous years.

Hey Craig, sounds like a great show...wish Cathy&I could make it. Watching Cleona and Rusty play a show together.....well, you never know what might happen. I heard they are already trying to figure out who gets top billing.
