Anyone Ever Try C9th

well I was wondering has anyone tried or known of someone stringing the front neck to a C9th and not E9th. that would put your chord positions in the same place as your C6th neck. Im just wondering the pros & cons of this subject. strings would have to be from top to bottom D,B,E,C,G,E,D,C,A,G they would serve the same purpose as far as the changes go just a different voice Im sure
