Post by Walter Stettner »

Good Morning,

Here's a rare live track from the late 1950s and an a great version of the standard "Panhandle Rag":

A forum member on steel, introduced by a Country Music Hall of Fame member. This guy should be in the Steel Hall Of Fame, but I don't know if he has been nominated.

Sounded like Tex Ritter introducing the the Song. This was probably on his "Ranch Party" show. This one sort of throws me, possibly Billy Mize. It's got to be an older person as the "Ranch Party" goes back to the 50's.

I think Mitch had the right one in mind. It is Don Davis on steel, as a member of George Morgan's Candy Kids, from one of their radio shows. :)

Kind Regards, Walter
