Vernon, My Friend Called Home

Post by Bernie Gonyea »

:(

Yes, I , too , will miss my good friend and fellow steel guitarist; He has always been an insiration to me, as one of the men whom played with the big bands, as well as individual artists; Vern loved playing music which only a steel guitar can generate to a listening audience. I appreciated every large and big series of chords which he produced on his Ricky; MSA or his newly acquired Zum Steels. Some of Vern's earlier recordings were absolutely sensational; so pleasant to the ears of all we SGF members and the general public.. Rest in Peace, my friend.. Condolences to the Hester Family.God Bless you..Bernie
