Attn Sellers-- Need Help -shipping Issue

Post by David Beckner »

I have never done this before so I am asking for help from some one who has more experience in this than I do..
I have some leg bags sold to Peter in South Africa..He is paying by paypal but I have no account.
Is there some one with an account that will let him pay you - I ship the stuff to you and you ship to him?? I am willing to pay you a percentage of the payment ..There is no rush on my part as far as recieving funds - I just need him to get his stuff and need some one who is trust worthy to help in handling this trans action..

As Dave said... why not just open and account? With that said I would like to give a bit of advice if you do. Go to your bank and open a seperate checking account just for your paypal transactions. Let them know you don't require any paper checks and it will just be used for online transactions. This way you don't expose your primary account to the internet and if anything happens i.e. a hack, they will only get whats in that account and not your life savings.

David this is very awkward ground, what happens if the deal goes bad ? The money is taken out of the PAYPAL account, the full liability falls on the account holder who is a 3rd party to the transaction such as this. In addition, and I am not 100% certain, but it may be a violation of CC rules ( PAYPAL is a credit card) to due 3rd party transactions, I know for our business, it is a violation of our Merchant Services agreement, where we take Visa, MC, AMEX and Discover to use our CC account for 3rd party transactions. Not that Steel guitar parts are to be considered contraband, but these are the types of transactions( International) that the Feds are looking for !

Like the others, I say open a PAYPAL account , it takes like 5 min. Even if you only use it once a year it is a benefit.

OR just have him send you an International Money order...

David

You are asking others to get 1099'd for your transactions.
New tax laws.
PayPal is over for me on my steel guitar sales in 17 days.
