1962 Silvertone.Danelectro #1457

Post by Bob Carlucci »

This is the same type guitar I have posted here a couple of times already. Red sparkle 2 lipstick pickups, dual cutaway, VERY sharp and retro looking. My digital camera is down, so I can''t post pics, but it looks like the others I have posted here. Body and paint are VERY clean!.. Real nice shape..Plays well.

Has a few issues so I will sell it cheap. First, its amp/case is long gone.. They can be had quite cheap on ebay, but personally I wouldn't bother.. second, the neck position lipstick pickup is open.. Its not the switch.. pickup is dead.
Third, the original crappy strip tuners were removed long ago,and replaced professionally with mini Schallers.. Very clean installation, and easily reversible if you want to reinstall the horrid original backward strip tuners. Again dirt cheap on ebay..

Anyway, all it needs to be great vintage player is a pickup rewind on one pickup.. The bridge pickup sounds killer.. Super strong!! Comes with gig bag.. Here's what they look like.. This is NOT the guitar I am selling, but it is the exact model, and in similarly clean condition...

first $275+ shipping takes it... I will do $15 shipping east coast, $25 west, $20 in the middle! bob

He's right Ben,,, These were very well built guitars.. The fact that so many are still in perfect playing condition says it all.

They sound incredible... World class tone....

Hi Bob, I live just a couple hills over from you. Do you still have the guitar? Looks like a neat little guitar. If so, is there someone local you could recommend to work on it? Thanks, Darryl
