1969 Fender Twin Reverb w original JBLs
I am offering this Vintage Fender Twin Reverb for sale again. It is a 1969 AB 763 Ser. # A 19350. The speakers have since been repaired, but not reconed.
Here is the link with the original ad and the replies:

After a lot of research, I have decided to sell it as is. The JBLs have a couple of tears in the paper cones. It does not affect the sound, and I am advised there are several ways to "fix" the tears. It seems better to repair the paper rather than recone the speaker. Here is a thread on that topic:

I am asking $1800. or the best reasonable offer. Email me with any questions, or call my cell 209-777-6444 <DROwens>

Speakers
Here are photos of the amp with the speakers removed and the detail of the speakers:
These are the ORIGINAL D120F speakers, and they are 40 years old. Older they are, better they sound!

Quote from Brad Sarno
Brad Sarno wrote in the previous thread:
Those '68/early-'69 Silver Faced Fenders with the drip edge are my very favorite Fenders. I've got a '68 Deluxe Reverb and Princeton Reverb, and they are holy grails. The silverface to blackface issues are minor, and this drip-edge model may actually be early enough in '69 to be part of that transition '68 batch that may be identical or at least very close to a black face. Either way, it's a righteous amp. That right there is pretty much exactly what Lloyd Green rented for the legendary Panther Hall/Charlie Pride record, and that's a tone that has set the bar as high as it ever got. For me, there's no more desirable Fender Twin than one like this.

Hi there, The Drip edge amps are only "67" Blackface chasis for the first few months of '68. Check the transformer codes and if '67 or earlier it most likely is a leftover '67 chasis. Also they usually stamped the chasis w/ a date on the bottom or inside. There is a pretty big difference.
doesn't mean it isn't a great amp, just not a blackface. They did do some foolish things to the signal chain between late '68 through '69. Changed back in '70.
All the best, Rocky

I have one of these, same year with the same speakers. This is the best sounding Twin Reverb I have ever played through in my opinion.
If anyone is worried about the speaker damage I had Woody Woodell recone a pair of these for me. Woody is a JBL expert. They sound fantastic, and are comparable to a pristine pair of JBL D-120F's that I have. Woody is reasonable too. Best secret in Nashville.
Somebody will be happy.
