One more week guys. Feb. 5th starting at 10:00 with a great player, Charlie Vaughn. If you guys haven't heard Charlie play you need to.
I also want to thank Ernie for the $50.00 donation he sent. Ernie has been a big time supporter of this show and we thank him and this money will go to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. I hate that Ernie will not be able to come this year.
I'm also glad to hear that Barlow is making his way to Georgia to participate. I'm sure you will enjoy his vocals. It will be here before you know it.
See Ya
Jerry

Bump for this show! I wish I could join ya'll this year but I'll be in Gulfport. Maybe I can catch the next one. In the meantime, ya'll be safe traveling and enjoy the great music and support the Shriners.
I have my live request show from 8 - 10 PM CST the following weekend (2/11), someone give me a call and let me know how the show went. 314-256-9029. Thanks!

Dear Steve,
Thanks for asking. Jerry Braswell is one of my favorite singers and has been ever since I first got to work with him back in the sixties in Atlanta. Don Howard who owned the Music Mart in Smyrna introduced us back then. I will be happy to do Danny Boy again if I can talk Jerry into it. I am looking forward to this great show as I'm sure it will be a great one, and I hope to see all my musician buddies and friends there.

Oh now that isn't fair! I won't get to hear the special event. Darn it!!! Tell you what - it won't beat Herby live but I will select a herby Wallace song from our database and play it just for you Steve. BUT - I will only do that if you call in on Saturday and give me your review of the show. Deal?

Herby,
I would be proud to take part in the presentation of Danny Boy. I thank Steve for the kind words, but Herby is the one doing all the work. Like Herby shared, we go back many years and I have had the opportunity and pleasure of having Herby make many of my vocals come out sounding good. Thanks. I hope to see you all Sunday.

Hey you guys,
Are you trying to pump my ego? I thank you for all the good words and kindness. You guys are the stars I'm just an average vocalist and bass player. But I am looking forward to the great music on Sunday. I've looked at the line-up, no bad player at all. Top notch from the beginning to the end.

Jerry I wanted you to know that I talked to Rhubarb Jones at Eagle 106.7 this morning as a follow up to the letter I sent to him regarding the steel show. Rhubarb said unfortunately he will not be able to attend because of his schedule. He said he appreciated the invitation and wished everyone well. Four more days until the Big Show. I am planning on being there early on Sunday morning to help set things up. Take care. Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will see you on Sunday.

Well folks, today I leave for Gulfport but I want to wish everyone attending this show safe travels and have a good time. Jerry and the boys are doing a great job. I look forward to hearing the results (which I will air on my show on 2/11).
Speaking of - be sure to tune in as the great Herby Wallace has agreed to grace us with a call in. What a month for steel guitar music and this midwest girl!
Brett - make sure you got your steel shined and ready to talk, blow 'em away my friend.
Take care
Miss Lana

I will add one more little note before the show. It make me feel good to see this much attention shown towards our cause. These musicians can only imagine what this money will do for these cripple and burned children at the Shriners Hospitals. From my heart I want to let you all know how much this really means to me. I appreciate you more than I can express. I so much thank you for you time and talent. You can have a lot of shows, but I can't think of any other group of musicians that would support a cause better than the steel guitar family. This includes the drummers, bass players, guitar players and vocalist that participate in these shows. Our staff band is just as good as you would want to find anywhere.
From my heart I say thank you all.
Miss Lana be careful on your trip.
I will see you Sunday

Hey Larry....the football Super Bowl is in Detroit, but the steel guitar Super Bowl will be at the Shrine Temple! And Jerry, thank YOU for giving us the opportunity to help for one day like you guys help all year.
