There are only two of these guitars that I have ever seen, this one was custom built for the 1955 era, Hank Snow steel player, Buford Gentry.
The steel is not for sale but several folks wanted to see what a D-10 Maverick looked like.

That's a good looking double neck Maverick Bobbe.
How about playing a song on it to demonstrate the sound that is possible with one.
How is the pedal pressure and travel on one of these compared to modern steels? |

Pedal pressure is stiff, tone is kinda average, no way to adjust ratios, tuning is rough. Hardly a good guitar, but the original cost was very small.
It may not look like much and sure enough.......

Looks a little like the ShoBud/Fender guitar without the superior changer of the Fender model. I would imagine that it weighs much less than the average D10.
Shows how flexible ShoBud could be when it came to fulfilling their customers requirements. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Fender had NOTHING to do with this guitar, it is the typical Maverick system under the guitar. Cheap, light and sometimes workable! Designed by David Jackson, just for Buford Gentry.
