Went to see Gene Watson today and as usual Gene was great, hasn't lost a thing. Robby Prim played some great steel but naturally was very low in the mix. After the show, Clyde Mattocks, Tim Tyner, Carroll Wade, Royce Quinn and myself went up and introducted ourselves to Robby and he was really nice. His purple Lashly Legrade III sounded great and so did he. He showed us some licks using the 7th string raise and boy did he play some very complicated runs. Robby is a very nice person and a very good steel player. Sure glad we went to see the show. Be sure and go see them when they are in your area.

Finally got a chance to see and hear Robbie last night at the Glad Rag Saloon in Greenfield, NY. Gene Watson put on a fantastic show and Robbie's playing was super. Wifey and I had a front row seat. After the show I had a nice chat with Robbie (while wifey was getting her picture taken with Gene).
He is a fine southern gentleman and sure gets a sweet sound out of his 03 Emmons. I was surprised at the clean sound coming from the Peavey Nashville 400...as he does'nt use any effects other than the amp.
Stop and listen to him if you get the chance as it's really enjoyable...
They were on their the way to Lebanon, NH for a gig tonight, but the last I heard Gene's tour bus broke down. Hope they made it in OK.

I too, had the pleasure last night of seeing and hearing Robbie's great playing with the Classic Country show which rolled into Niagara Falls (ON) a day or so ago.
Also was nice to meet him personally after the show. Keep up the awsome sound Robbie.
