The catalogs do not have the inductees listed.

Even if someone did know, it would not be allowed to be posted here.

Scotty made that request a fews years back and we abide by his wishes.

Joey, I'm pretty sure it MUST be you - saw something about a steel guitar ACE!
Seriously, of course I didn't see any of the juicy stuff - just the cover!

No problem, Myron. They did announce it early one time, about five years ago. They've changed that policy, probably for the reason you mention.

Thanks Donna. The 2005 souvenir program book I had in Mesa was to show to people that could not attend the Convention and give them some idea of what goes on each year.
The front cover was designed by one of Don Curtis' students, Matt Hughes. The steel guitar is Jerry Byrd's double neck Sho~Bud and the hands are mine. As one of the towers at the Millennium hotel is round, Matt used it in place of the bar. Matt took the photos of the guitar and my hands here at Scotty's Music, and then went downtown and took a picture of the hotel tower, I have no idea how he made it it fit in my hand holding it the same as I would hold a bar. A most unique idea. I have several dozen of the programs in stock if any one should want one.

To see the members of The Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame, Inc. and the year they were inducted you can go to my web site at www.scotty'smusic.com and scroll down to the Hall Of Fame and then to the inductees. It also gives the information that is on their plaque. There is a listing in the program too but just their names and year of their induction.

We did let the public know one year who the inductees were. After that we went back to the secret part of it. Prior to that we didn't even let the inductees know that they was being inducted. That has changed too and we let the inductees know so it is up them to let let their family and their personal friends know of their induction. And they encourage each of them not to reveal it. You may think you have an idea of who will be inducted in 2006 or even who you think it might not be. That is the mystery of the inductions. Scotty
