Spoke w/ Ron and Rebecca last week to special order a S-12 pickup wound to 17.5KΩ. They didn't have any spare 12 string bobbins on hand, so Ron searched through a cache of old parts and found what he needed.
He stopped what he was doing, wound the pickup and I received it one week later. I just put it on my ohmmeter and it reads 17,564 Ω.
With all the recent Emmons-bashing, I felt it worthwhile to again point out the great customer support I always get from Ron and Rebecca
ive always gotten good service from the emmons folks
the parts were always right
and they were nice all the way
got the parts within a few days
all in all they did great for me
Mike
Do I have to be invited to this toast or can anybody testify.
Never had a problem with the Emmons company. Never will. As long as there is a Sho-Bud on the planet.

I was wondering how long it would take to have this thread turned into a pissing match.
Some folks just can't seem to leave a compliment unchallenged, can they?
I also just had a wonderful experince with the Lashley's.
I spent the day with Ron he changed some pedals on my Legrande II & the fretboards also + I took a friends Steel up there and He worked on his Guitar also.
I have never had any problems with the Lashley's Ron or Rebecca or Bobbie
I have to agree that the Lashley's have taken great care to make sure I got good service. Rebecca called me several times to make sure my order was OK. My '77 P/P is all Emmons and it'll stay that way until I'm long gone.
Herb I'm a little late but happy 63rd.
I didn't catch whether you received good service or not from reading your reply.
Great advise Jack but I don't think you used it on me.

I've played Emmons guitars for almost 30 years and have ordered parts from the company numerous times and had several pickups rewound, and always with the same level of service - excellent.
I also know that no company can make everyone happy all the time, nor are they immune from making mistakes.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Same with me! I've never personally had any problems dealing with the Emmons Guitar Co. I've just recently become an Authorized Dealer, so I've gotten to know the Lashleys even better than I had before. They try very hard to please and both of them, as well as Rebecca's mom Bobbie put in lots of long hours there.
I'm personaly glad to see something positive being said about the Emmons company as well. They still make the very finest pedal steel guitars in the world.
