Here is my lacquer LG111 SKH. It was custom built for the previous owner using the last of the SKH parts and has the late model changer not the original slotted one used on the original Shorty guitars.

Jay,

It is hard to say. I looked at it with my magnifying glass (they come in handy at age 78 ), and it looks to me like 2 lowers.

But then what does a two year away "Octogenarian" know? Now I ask ye pahdnah? :?

Carl,
You are right. Just returned from looking at my LeGrande II and it looks the same. My early morning eye sight and memory is just not what it used to be.

I think the soon to be Octogenarian is right here.
As far as i can see it's a common 3+2 changer.
I agree that the tuning openings appear large, but i think that's just how they look.
Here's a pic of my SKH as a reference.

That's a nice looking S-10, Karen! The undercarriage is sparkling clean. I think I know who restored that beauty. I'd recognize his work anywhere! ;-)

I gotta jump on this bandwagon, too. Although I have been, and still am, a proud Mullen player and love Mullen guitars, I've always been an Emmons guy deep at heart. I've only owned two Emmons guitars, both black, and here they are:

My first Emmons, a 1969 P/P that I bought in 1990:

Image

And, then, the guitar that was my pride & joy ... Gary Hogue's first Emmons guitar, a 1976 P/P that I bought in 1991:

If I still had that '76 Emmons guitar, I'd probably still be an Emmons player today. :) But, I lost that guitar through some sad circumstances and no longer have it.
