Sho Bud Early Pro 1 3 & 4 w/ New Undercarriage

Post by Matt Martin »

I have for sale this beautiful early Sho Bud. It has the numbers 1595 stamped underneath so maybe that will tell you something about it...don't know. The guitar is in absolutely fine condition with a total chassis re-build with Coop parts.

Master Sho Bud expert Ricky Davis did the re-build and did a fine job at that!! The finish is good and has the usual checking for a guitar this age. But one look and you can see that it looks great regardless. Since I have owned this, around 1980, I have always had a cover on it or it's been in its case. It was well taken care of!!

The pickup is original and was rewound by the man,
Jerry Wallace. The sound is unbelievable!!
The original pots on the guitar work great but the coil tap has been disconnected. The guitar has The Emmons setup and had the same copedent as Ricky's.
This is your chance to own a piece of vintage gear but will fool people because of the undercarriage. Teardrop levers, Gumby headstock, etc.... it has all the vintage vibe you could ask for, but plays like a new guitar with the new parts that were added...very very sweet!! Ask Ricky how it plays. He said he took it on a gig after the rebuild and said it played like a dream. The case and leg bag are in great shape as well. No rips or tears on the tolex, but I did re-cover the handle. Other than that, the case is solid as a rock!

I'm asking $1,800.00 and shipping of course. Let me know what you think and maybe we can work out a deal that's good for both of us. I think once you get a hold of her, you'll never let her go!! Perfect for your collection and would be impressive to gig with.

If you need more photos, let me know what you want to see and I’ll email them direct to you.

Thanks for looking and stop your drooling!!

Beautiful 6139... If it sounds or plays half as good as it looks, someone's gonna be really happy!

Yeah! Wood wraparound changer with a new undercarriage? Gotta sound awesome! '67 or '68 I'd say. Prettier than my Blondie too!

Well....I had a deal that I thought was all worked out, but it fell through. If anyone is interested in this, I'll go ahead and throw in the shipping (within the cont. US only) with the selling price.
