Lamar S-10 3x4

Post by Mike Pace »

This was Lamar Colvin's '95/'96 convention/demo guitar. I'm the second owner.

Extremely well machined. One piece keyhead/neck/tray/changermount. Triple raise, double lower fingers. Single coil pup w/ half tap.

Some bar-dings and pedal-bar scuffs, and other cosmetics, but overall in great cond.

$1400 plus shipping, OHSC and donation included.

Lamar S-10 3 x 4

Post by Al Vesel »

Mike,
I have the twin to your's except mine is a 3 x 5 and has a wood neck & inlay frets built into the wood neck and is a couple years newer. I couldn't believe when I got mine the tone and playability of this guitar. It is truly up there with the rest of the Pro model guitars. In fact, mine has a sound very similar to my SKH Emmons. Truly amazing sounding instruments and excellent craftmanship. Sustain to die for !! A-1 guitars!! Someone should snap up on this. And the cases that he supplies are made by Albert Johnson of Tallahassee. Need I say more ?? The case for mine is built like a tank and very nice looking also.

Great price for a great guitar !!

Thanks for chiming in Al!

I try to refrain from making comparisons, but Al took the words right out of my mouth. This steel has a lot of the same tonal characteristics of a SKH LeGrande, especially in the upper register. If it had a couple of extra strings this Lamar would be my soulmate for life....
