Your computer sees the CD as a data disc and knows what to do with it. Your CD player also sees it as a data disc, but doesn't know how to play it!

You need to convert the MP3 to a .wav file (16 bit depth, 44.1KHz bit rate, 2 channel - no other format will work) and write that to a CD. Note, simply copying the file to CD will not work, you will have to use a program (such as Nero) that can write music CD's and add the necessary information for the CD player to know what it is and where to find it.

Alternatively, you can buy CD players that do understand MP3 files - depending on how many you have and how often you need to do this sort of thing, it might be an easier route.

Thanks Graeme, I guess you have answered my question.
I'll try that.
