Baritone weissenborn

Hi everybody!
I would like to tell that I build baritone weissenborns with alpine italian Val di Fiemme spruce top, hidding animal glue, opaque natural shellac, european walnut back and sides.
Other woods are also possible.

Sono un suonatore di lap steel. Vengo spesso in Italia, ma in questo momento non so quando sara' la prossima volta. Ho famiglia al Lago di Garda ed ho anche suonato con un gruppo, "I FalchI" a Cisano recentamente. Sono in contatto anche con Bob Reani.

Does anyone in Italy play Italian music on the Weissenborn, or do they mainly play Hawaiian music?

Hi Alan, we absolutely don't play Italian music but also hawaiian we don't. Mostly we play Ben Harper, Ed Gerhard, Bob Brozman and so on. This means not hawaiian and this is valid for all Europe. Yours is a great music culture, we are behind you.

That's a fascinating link, Ermano. I would love to hear better recordings of your guitars, especially the baritone Weissenborn. Your prices seem to be very reasonable as well. Good luck with your guitars!

Thanks Brad, yes I am enthusiastic over this wonderful wood. There is only a micro climate area called Val di Fiemme producing it. Baritone seems to play very full and rich but also weissenborns. This wood is considered the best for fiddles and pianos, but also guitars, only for handmade luthery.

This is the wood chosen by Stradivarius for his famous violins. Fiemme valley is unique and I am lucky to live so close.
Do anybody own a guitar with such wood?

You own one of my barytone. This wood is similar to Adirondak: clear and sweet but also in the same time you can distinguish all frequencies and harmonics.
It fits to fingerpicking being so delicate, clear but deep and warm
