Hello again to everyone! We had another great meeting. I am so pleased at the support we are getting. Besides our regular support, we had guests who drove many miles to be with us. One couple was Leroy Wilkerson and his wife (her name has slipped my mind) from Pocahontas, AR. Then we had two ladies from Iowa, Deb Nelson and Annie Griffis. So glad they all put forth the effort to be with us. Deb set in on drums and did a great job!
We gained three new club members yesterday. Deloris Hurrell and Fern Goodenough from Carterville, MO. , and Carolyn Baumann from Reeds, MO. They have been coming to our show for the last few years and we are so glad to have them join our club and attend our meetings.
Steel players were: Ray Qualls, Lee Ogle, Austin Stewart, Benny Haynes, Jim Sentlinger, Paul Troop, and Leroy Wilkerson.
Randy Stewart sat in on bass guitar, Deb Nelson on drums, and Dan Duling stopped in for a while and played lead guitar for us. Glad to have Dan with us also.
As usual, we had lots of snacks and the best of times visiting. I always look forward to our meetings. Next month, my family and I will not be at the meeting (Austin has a gig to play), but the other ladies are planning a Mexican themed meal for the Christmas meeting. We figured everyone would be tired of turkey. I hate to miss such a fun time, but you all can join in and get some of that good food and play some fun music.
Dana
Now folks, I don't know what was really said here, but if David Wright were writing the caption it would read something like this... Austin is giving everyone a last call to beat him to the chow line. Notice Jim Sentlinger looks as if he is desperate to get there before Austin gets in line. LOL.

Your right about what Wright would say!!!!!!!! HAHA
Looks to me like he just saw someone sit on his steel!!!!!!!!! Anyway looks like you all had a good time. Wish we could have been there, but we had 3 places we needed to be that day. Maybe some time after January we can make it up there again.

Dana, thanks for the pics! Also, thanks to Debbie for coming down all the way from Iowa. She's a great drummer and loves to play. Also LeRoy and his wife came all the way from Eastern Arkansas. Good meeting, good food and good friends. Ray _________________ Ray Qualls

Hey Dana, Good pictures. We like to see what goes on at other meetings, good one of Austin with that (ALL THE TURKEY'S GONE) look. Next time turn up the sound a little so we can hear all the good stuff. Hope the club keeps growing, sure makes it a lot of fun....Ron |
