A big bump for Mike.

Good show, I especially enjoyed listening to Herb Remington again. I have that album with Herb's autograph that he was kind enough to give me way back when.

Takes me back to the late 1940's when Herb was playing with Bob at the Criterian Theater doing live radio in downtown Oklahoma City, along with Johnny Gimbel, Eldon Shamblin, Billy Jack, Luke, and those other great fiddlers doubling on 4 string mandolins.

Also, down the street in the WKY studios was Merl Lindsay and his Oklahoma Night Riders with jazz guitarist Benny Garcia and some of the other great musicians from that "golden" era. Benny's friends never let him forget playing an intro in the wrong key on a live broadcast.

Mike, thank you so much for showcasing these musical events from the past that are fading away except in the memories of those who were there.

Gene,

I can't find the words to thank you enough for the listen and your kind words. It is always my pleasure to include you on my playlists and you are an integral part of the above show.
