Has anyone played a guitar through one of these amps?
If so, what was your impression of the tone?

This should be in the Electronics section, not Steel Without Pedals. Moved.
I have not been impressed by any Behringer electronic products. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Some of the Behringer amps do OK, even with the bad rap Behringer gets. We have a Behringer acoustic guitar amp that my wife uses and it does good. It was a "new damaged" amp that we bought from Musician's Friend when they had the warehouse outlet in Kansas City. BUT, the effects control (pot) is damaged and it's an OEM custom part, and Behringer will not sell any parts. As it's being used for rhythm guitar there is no need for effects (at least in traditional country music) and I was able to jumper the pot so it doesn't introduce any effects.
However, as Blake notes, if it breaks and it's under warranty you can send the amp to Behringer and they will fix it. But, if it breaks out of warranty, they will not provide schematics or parts which basically makes it a "throwaway unit". |

It looks very similar to a Marshall MG30DFX. But the Behringer has a built-in tuner - the Marshall doesn't. _________________ Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind! |

Thanks for those ideas. I suppose for under $200 one can't expect a whole lot. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |
