His sound and the mood of the piece reminds me of what J. Garcia played on D.Crosby's first record.

I had the pleasure of meeting Greg today at Jim Palenscar's shop. Man, what a player... :!:
I got to listen to him play on my new (to me) '76 Emmons. Just superb...
Extra nice guy, too.
I'm still buzzin'... lol.
Emmons 12 p/p, Revelation, Black Widows, (& way too many assorted goodies...)
Drummer with a pedal steel fantasy. ;)
