Idle Stand for Sierra Lap Steel?

Help.

I'm looking for a stand to put my Sierra lap steel on while I'm *not* playing it; one of those near-vertical guitar type stands with a neck cradle wide enough to accomodate the wider lap steel neck.

Bobby Lee had a photo of one in a post months ago. Anybody get the brand/model of that one?

The music sales people in my area go glassy-eyed when I tell them what I'm looking for, heh, heh.

Mine was made in Germany by König & Meyer (K&M). There's no model name on it. It collapses flat real quickly, and sets up just as fast.

I don't recall the details of the picture of the Sierra lap-steel in a stand, but:

The König & Meyer guitar stands I have do not have a neck cradle. The support a vertical (6-string fretted) guitar from the bottom, and by a large lean-against rubber pad that touches the back (not the neck) of the guitar.

The stand is sturdy, and sits on the floor on four rubber feet. They are hard to tip over.

With no guitar in it, such a stand sits on the floor in an "A" frame configuration. Pressing a button on the back near the top allows folding the legs together for storage. The legs can also be opened to a not-fully-spread position, for narrow guitars.

I think the König & Meyer is the best of such stands with the best fold-up mechanism, and the best rubber pads. There are stands made by other manufacturers that have the same basic configuration.

Hello Bob:
I have a Sierra lap steel also. I use a Quicklok keyboard stand that is adjustable in hight. I attached a piece of thin outdoor carpeting with double face tape on top of the Sierra case and lay the case on top of the stand with the carpet facing up and lay the lap steel on top. The carpet prevents the bottom of the lap steel from scratching.
The stand sell for about $50.00.
