I just received a letter today that said I have just received the Amish virus (in the letter). This virus works on the honor system.

It says you must delete all your files on your hard drive and manually forward the letter to everyone on your mailing list. Thanks for your co-operation.
The Amish computer engineering department.

If you receive a letter like this, please ignore it and DO NOT DELETE YOUR FILES. Destroy the letter so it doesn't fall into some innocent hands.

After I deleted all my files my email program wouldn't work, so I couldn't forward the letter. What did I do wrong? Confused

I've been getting really official looking e-mails that try to represent my ISP, and they want me to send back my login, password, date of birth, account number, etc. All the logos are in the right places.

Trouble is, the return addresses all have "webmail.xxx.yyy.zzz" as the target where xxx is my ISP.

Some poor unaware soul is gonna fall for that...
