Once upon a time sat a steel guitar named Steelie who was crying and crying. Along came an old friend named Tubby the Tuba. "What's wrong?" asked Tubby. "They won't let me play much any more." answered Steelie. Tubby replied "That's O.K. Let me tell you a little story. Years ago playing in an orchestra, all they let me play was OHM PAH PAH, OHM PAH PAH. I was very sad and the conductor asked me what was wrong. I told him that I didn't think I was playing enough so he let me play a solo. I was very happy." Tubby's story made Steelie very thankful that Steelie could play as much as he did. From that day forward, Steelie stopped whining and crying. Steelie joined a top 40 country band and lived happily ever after.

Instead of speaking to the conductor...Tubby should have started a six page blog-thread about how he should be making six figures and could play that candyland orchestra music all day, how he could play every instrument in the orchestra better than anyone else, that no one could show him anything and how the conductors were all idiots.

Then a bunch of other bitter and angry Tuba players could tell Tubby what a great Tuba player he was and how they respected his outlaw stance and straight talk.

I'm surprised that Tubby got to play "OHM PAH PAH, OHM PAH PAH".

Usually the tubas only get to play "OMH . . OHM . . ". Laughing
