Im pretty sure i just seen ole Herb on National Tv on America's Most wanted . they did a story on an Austin musician that was killed on a motorcyle in a hit and run and they had some of his band mates playing a tune and i am pretty sure that was ole Herb behind one of his circa 60's Emmons P/P's. if it wasnt herb he has loaned someone his guitar and dapper Look LOL ! Nice Tone , very old School Green Sleeveish minor approach. just awsome!

Yeah, Boo. That was me. Thanks for the compliments, you guys.
Eric Laufer was a really good kid and an excellent musician. I did a couple gigs with him and had a great time doing them. The way he died was a totally tragic end to a much too short life.
The band you saw was the group that singer-songwriter Waylon Payne (son of Sammi Smith and Jody Payne) had for a few months earlier this year. The other musicians were Pete Mitchell on guitar, Ron Erwin on drums, and Brad Fordham on bass. I wish we could have held that group together for a bit longer, but you know how things go, right? _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Go here (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=71394) click on the "Media" tab and watch the video "Behind the Scenes...." and you will see some interview footage with Herb.
I watched the show last night and thought the music was very well done. Very haunting. Superb job, Herb. |
