Peter As for your question,I will call Bob and ask for the board of directors to answer your question. Its a Tough One for me to answer. It most certainly is not a "Kosher" restaurant. Jody will have booth at the PSGA Jody has a good supply of his cd "The Hot Club Of America". We tried having "T" Shirts made up but at this point in time, it may not be possible.I know Jody will be wearing one as well as his daughters.

If I understand correctly, there are two admission charges for Saturday. $25 for the afternoon, and another $25 for the evening.

I hope the other shows don't follow this lead.

Dan,

Thanks so very much for the plug for "Swingin' West." It will be a real pleasure of mine to get to meet you and other listeners that I have never personally met at the PSGA show.

These shirts are made up with the cover of the Hot Club CD cover on front and they were made up by a special friend of mine. E mail me or let me know. I only have a few left.

Mr. Sysop "Ace': I don't recall you being a frequent attendee at our annual PSGA steel shows. You may have attended, I just don't recall, but perhaps you've never made your presence known to me or our staff volunteers. I do know that you were, for a short period of time a member of the PSGA.

I take exception to your post about the admission charge for our 32nd annual event in Norwalk, Ct.

We have assembled, at great cost to the PSGA, a reputable line-up of professional steel guitarists who will do their best to entertain and educate anyone interested in playing the steel guitar as well as members of the general public who are interested in the fine quality of the music that will be presented at our gathering.

The charges reflect the amount of financial obligation we have to the hotel for rental of the hall, the terrific back up musicians and the featuired steel players who travel great distances to particpate in this function.

If it were not for the continued support by the members of the PSGA and all the volunteers who make our annual event possible, it would have ended 10 years ago. This will probably be the last year that we will be at this particular location, but we hope to continue on a reduced scale next year.

So, please do not make hasty judgement as to the price involved with providing a service to those interested in receiving it, based on your evaluation of what you think is affordable to you. We live and put the show on in the New York City area, not Canada.

Lets forget about these out of place comments and focus on the PSGA show. Let those steel strings sing.

Yes Mike I heard your PSGA tribute and as always thought it was fine and uplifting as usual.Best to you all, be there in November.

Dan,

Beautifully said!

Thanks for being out there listening. It was really my pleasure to play and support the stars and back-up musicians of our PSGA show for next month. The listener response was wonderful, now hopefully those that can make it will come.

Don't forget my jacket, Jody. There were gloves the pockets.

I'm writing this from the HSGC in Joliet. The music here is fantastic and I'm thinking about the PSGA Show even as I attend here.

There is so much great steel guitar music. I love it all!!!!!!! Image

Well, I have to add my two cents again, since something was brought up about price. Let me say that in my opinion, the pricing is very fair and I think a bargain. In the Pigeon Forge area here where I live, the average price for the theatre shows in the area is $25.00 to $30.00, and this is for a 2 to 2 1/2 hour show, not to mention that half the shows don't even have a steel guitar in the band. Also, most of the shows are with local singers and musicians that are not name people. On the other hand, the PSGA show features some of the top steel guitarists in the country, and I am not speaking for myself but the other players on the show. Also, I do shows all over the US, Canada and Europe and the backup players are some of the finest I have ever worked with. For example, the drummer, Larry Eagle, just to name one is without a doubt one of the finest I have ever worked with. Also, the hotel is first class in every respect. Please don't let this comment about price keep anyone away as this again is a very reasonable price for a show of this calibur.

Howard I wont forget.I gave the gloves to Jackie Mason do to a DNA.

Herby you are right, Larry Eagle flies like an eagle over those drums,he's a fine drummer
and I look forward to hearing you play Herby
I am a fan as well as a player..see all of you then. Be well my friends.
[This message was edited by Jody Carver on 16 October 2005 at 04:31 AM.]

As a side comment on Herby's praise I also have to say that Larry Eagle is the favorite drummer of Bruce Springsteen. If you like or don't like Bruce, he still is considered a rock legend so again that is more praise for Larry and just an example on the talent of our back-up band at PSGA.
