The Medicare Jam was very enjoyable, some of the best music I've heard, many great players there, good food, and a good venue for it. Thanks to Charlie and every one involved for organizing it, hope we have a lot more.

Yes yes !!!! We had a great time. The fellowship was great! Rob Parker sang a lot . Bill Stafford played a real good set.And Richard Comeau,,,,boy ,he really played good. All in all it was a great time. Our thanks to Charlie Moore and all his people for making it possible. Most people don't realise how much work goes into getting a show together. Our MC Mr. Jeff Blackwell did a wonderful job for us. We got to meet Wayne Cox and his wife and hear him play the "GITFIDDLE". He is a great player. We were so glad to see Junior Martin and Patsy and Milton Gilbeau there. All the people are so friendly , it just makes a wonderful show..

WOW! The best way to describe the show in Forest Hill.
The steel guitar shootout between Richard Comeaux and Buck Grantham was the highlight of the Medicare Steel Jam. Like a great dessert after a steak dinner!
Buck and Charlie, thanks for your kind words and confidence. I do enjoy "running my mouth" as emcee.
Rob Parker was dynamite, as usual. What a terrific singer, picker and human being.
It was a BLESSING to see and hear Bill Stafford. Good to know that you're getting the farm back to normal one day at a time...and that you and Betty are safe.
An afternoon of steel pickin' just isn't complete without the fantastic Pee Wee Whitewing...you're a legend.
Howard Tate, you never sounded better. Corlue Bordelon knows how to make those strings sing, even without pedals.
My wife and I look forward to being back in the wonderful company of the Moore family. Thanks for making us feel right at home.

Thanks to Charlie and Sam Moore for arranging this great afternoon. It was a big break to get away from all the Katrina devastation even if just for a day. Very worth while and relaxing. Just so good to see all my special friends and hear them all play so well. Rob, thanks for bailing me out. Every thing I have is suffering from "chainsawitis" and fingers and hands just did not work well on my steel guitar. Apologize for that.

A special thanks to Charlie Moore for inviting my wife & I to come to the "Medicare Jam"! Maureen & I met so many wonderful people there. Charlie really knows how to attract good pickers...the secret word is..."GUMBO". My good friends,Denny & Donna really enjoyed themselves also. DONNA said,"I think I'm hooked on these conventions;the music is so wonderful, and the people are so nice!"

Boy, what a picking session...it was superb..everyone did such a fantastic job..
My hat is off to Charlie and Sue, Huey and Dorothy, and all the staff and help, that had to work so hard to bring this show to everyone..kudos to all of you..
Got to hand it to you guys..you know how to organize a great show..now if we could just get 300 or 400 people to come and enjoy the show with us...
And a special thanks to Jeff Blackwell for the masterful job of emceeing..
Thaks again to the group for the invite and the hospitality, and the great food...I hope to come again to the next one..
And Lavelle and I got to kick back with Huey, and Dorothy after the show, and just relax..but Lavelle left so early to go home, he missed a super breakfast that Dorothy made..But that's ok Lavelle, I ate your part and took some of it on the road...hee hee
Peace to all of you..
RP...'come on in'...
