Now that I'm finished jackassing back & forth from NY to LI on weekends, I'll have some time to catch up with you guys (gals?).

I'd appreciate it if you would post your gigs. Whenever I can show up, I'll do my darndest. Some of you I haven't seen in awhile and some I haven't seen at all.

Anyhow, it's always fun and a positive experience when I get to see youse in action.....

Mike, I'll try to get down there tonight. Sure would like to hear Dirt Road Life again.

The rest of the week I'll be at the Birdland Django Fest and then the PSGA tour on the weekend.

Looking forward to attending the local gigs this winter. Also I am interested in arranging Sunday steel jams/seminars at one of my stores, but that's another thread.

Hey Howard--I've got a set backing up a fella named Ben Krieger in duo Wed. nite at the Parkside but I wouldn't be skipping any Django goings on for it if I wuz you. And then there's a 2 setter at YM-YWHA in Inwood or Washington Heights or something with Karen Hudson on Sunday afternoon but I wouldn't be skipping any PSGA goings on if I wuz you. Karen H landed a Rodeo Bar show in Dec. that I'll announce when the time comes. We'll discuss what I wouldn't be skipping if I wuz you then.

Hey--I stopped by Hanks early last night and caught a set of some guys doing classic country called Shotgun Shack--Bob Hoffnar on steel, and presumably he stayed on into the New Jack night. He sounded freakin' great.

There's always a lot of music happening here in NY. It's great.

I'll be in Norwalk all weekend at the PSGA show.

I hope to attend many gigs this season, so please, keep posting as they come up. I'll get around to hopefully seeing everyone.

Greatly appreciated.

Absolutely.

With the PSGA show and Thanksgiving this month, Christmas and New Years both falling on Sundays, it's safe to say that after the New Year, we're free & clear to commence steelin'.

Dave,
Interesting you mention Arlenes Grocery. I'm playing there for a 2 hour gig Wed. December 21st with my band Thunderegg. We played there once a few months ago and it was quite packed and a lot of fun. Wish I lived close to NYC.

Howard, maybe I'll meet you at the Norwalk PSGA today.
