OLD COPY OF ITALIAN VIOLIN MADE IN GERMANY IT IS A COPY OF A MICHAEL DECONET HE WAS A ITALIAN LUTHIER
DECONET VIOLIN THE TYPE HE BUILT IN 1754.
THIS VIOLIN WAS MADE IN GERMANY
THIS VIOLIN WAS MADE IN EARLY 1800,S

IT HAS TWO CRACKS IN THE TOP THAT WAS REPAIRED BY

It is hard to buy a violin without hearing the tone, It can look good but not sound good.If you had a way to make some sound tracks might help

Your ad says "old Italian violin" but the label says "made in Germany ".

May I suggest that you include playing the first and fourth string on your videos. Most fiddle players are looking for a big full G string and an E string that is not too shrill. Maybe you could saw each string before playing "Beautiful Dreamer". It would help a lot.

The tailpiece couldn't be very old, since fine tuners weren't invented until the early 1900s, after steel strings became cheaper to produce than gut strings.

i purchased the violin. it did not have strings on it . did not have tailpeice on , i put on tailpeice ,bridge, strings and fine tuners.

I was only referring to the tailpiece, and said nothing about the violin. Have you tried Ebay?

i stripped another violin and took the tailpeice
and put the tailpeice on the mical deconet
violin.it was about 10 years old the tailpeice i have worked on violins for 9 years
repair them seal the cracks see that they are blocked & lined repair the pegs i am not to good
on cutting down a new bridge
