That "HOWDY" band is getting nation-wide recognition and they put on a real good show !! I have to start practicing to try to keep up with Rose and Manny !!!! See you all there on Sunday , Sept. 19th !!! Eddie "C" >> the old non-pedal , dead string , out of tune old geezer !!!

Just a week left before the show. Can't wait!
This is going to be a great show. The three bands are all top notch and really have a good time playing. Sam, Merle, and John will knock your socks off with their playing. And it will be nice to get a chance to hear the club members put it out there. Every year I'm so impressed with the local talent we have here in southern New England.
Come on down - and bring someone to dance with!
Hey, is it bad luck to change your strings the week before the show? It's ony been 6 months...

Wow !!! Risga Steel Show = Wow !!!
I just got back home after the RISGA steel show !! What a great time !! Pres. Marcia outdid herself putting on a show that had everything !! All the bands and steel players really played their hearts out and how about that band , "Girl Howdy" !!! They are a great show band and Rose Sinclair really shows how a Fender Stringmaster D-8 should sound !! Great job , Rose !!! And that Sam Gibson with all his electronic sounds and that "Talking Steel " was amazing !! Was a full house and the audience really enjoyed themselves !!! Can't wait till next year !!! I'm tired now , have to go to bed early !!! the old geezer Eddie "C"

Sounds good, Eddie! I'm glad you'all had a good time and a good crowd. Wish I could have been there but I had a gig.
It good to hear that Rose is playing a Stringmaster now. And Sammy Gibson... he's always a crowd pleaser! Sam was my first pedal steel guitar teacher way back in 1974. I was only 3 years old at the time!
Does anyone have pictures to post? We want pictures!

Hi Doug,
You were certainly missed yesterday, but there in spirit. Next year's show is booked, September 18th. Clear your calendar, yes, this is your invite.
Great show, the bands were fantastic: Terry Sutton with Stone Canyon playing my all time favorites by George Strait and their own rendition of Blue Jade were great as always. Kerry Anderson with Tulsa Queen is our club favorite even though Jim Hall had a problem finding the stage. Last, but certainly not least, Rose Sinclair and Girl Howdy closed the show, for a lot of us it was the first time hearing them, but it certainly won't be our last....they will be back!
Our guests: John and Darlene DeMaille, Sam Gibson and Merle Record just stopped by to warm up for PSGA in November (except for Merle)...they can stop practicing...they are ready. Thanks for a great performance!
And of course all the member players, there would be no show without any of you, every year it gets better and better. Your hard work shows, yes, I actually listen...
The back-up band: Chris, JD, Andy, Kerry, Elaine...THANK YOU.
Jim, "the emcee", I think you have found your calling...Who do you know that can emcee themself?
Doug..Rose sent me this picture with the Old Geezer.
