Remington Ride

Hugh Harris and I recorded our arrangement of Remington Ride. Hugh overdubbed a lead guitar part to add a little variety.

Bob, that is relly great. Very good picking by you & Hugh.
That's as good as I've ever heard that old classic played.
It's way above what I'll ever play, but I sure like to hear it.

bOb, thank you for posting your recordings...very tastefully done, and I especially liked your version of Coconut Grove....authentic Hawaiian sound.

Nice work there, b0b! I can;t get over how clean that guitar sounds. So clean that every mistake would stand out. But there are none. Fine work by the both of you.

The 8-string Truetone pickup has a very low impedence, so it doesn't push the front end electronics like most pedal steel pickups do. That's why it sounds so bright and clean. I recorded with a PodXT, but the guitar sounds pretty much the same through my Boogie Maverick or Fender Princeton amp.

Nice job on "The Ride" b0b!!!

That is a fine sounding steel.
I don't know how much is settings
or how much is attributable to the
guitar ? I suspect it is the whole
combo including your hands.

Cast it all in stone. :)
