We are trying to get a list of all the steel players in the Minnesota and surrounding areas. We will be doing some steel guitar concerts and shows in the Minneapolis area and would like to get addresses, e-mails and phone numbers from everyone who would be interested in either playing or just attending such shows. Please send them to me at Gospelsteeler@aol.com and we will keep everyone up-dated as to Jams, shows and concerts. Thanks so much for keeping the steel guitar alive and well in the land of the Frozen Chosen. Albert Svenddal

Hey Albert - I'll mention this on my upcoming Steelin By Request show on SteelRadio.com to help spread the word. Keep me posted on the events. It's great to see more jams popping up!

Hey Al, are you getting the old Minnesota Steel Guitar club going again? I will be moving back to Minnesota on Dec. 1, so if you want some help, give me a call at 719-291-1393. That will be my cell phone number until I get a new number in Minnesota.

I can also call you when I get back and we can get together to talk about your project.

Dennis, glad to see you're going to be back here. I promise not to spill soda on you in the future.

Al, is this the reviving of the old Minnesota Showcase? I hope so.

Thanks for all the e-mails and responses. No, I am not exactly reviving the old Minnesota steel club, but I am planning on hosting some Steel Guitar Shows and Concerts in the Minneapolis area. There are so many people who love this unique instrument and it needs to be heard and promoted. We are most likely looking at a big Concert/Jam/Seminar in the spring of next year so I will keep everyone posted on when and where. Thanks.

By the way, SVEN-ddal is most positivly Norwiegen and proud of it. Ufff Daaaa. Albert ( but I really don't like the stinky fish).
