About St.Louis.....................

Post by Ray Montee »

I can't imagine anyone taking on a project like the International Steel Guitar Convention in St.Louis.

Scotty's been at it for many years now but I don't figure it gets any easier for him. Lot's of over-head, the changing, fickle moods of the public, the dwindling 'headliners' that used to be so rich to choose from.........plus the country's economic condition.

It was a great program tho' and Tom Palmer and I both enjoyed ourselves immensely. Not only did I have the opportunity to meet up once again with acquaintances and friends I've made over the years, but I enjoy this occasion to make about two dozen new friends from, quite litterally, all over the world.

I'm grateful, for among other things, the great programs booklet Scotty puts together for us to take home after each big event. Great printing, great photos' and other misc., information that an average guy couldn't run across in a lifetime.

THANKS SCOTTY and your loving, loyal and devoted family.

Ray, glad I finally got to meet you face on. Had and enjoyable visit, until you ran off to the hospital.
