Does anyone have Lonesome LA Cowboy tabbed out? I have watched Mickey Adams' video on utube, but I have been having problems with the videos there. It's more visual than explaining what strings, knee levers etc. Been having problems mainly with the opening lick to the solo. Are the first two notes on the 10th string? And then skipping to the 8th? Also he is using a knee lever, is that a F# to G ? Don't get me wrong I love Mickey, and he's helped me tremendously but I can't seem to get this solo figured out,and any help would be appreciated. I really love Buddy Cage and the NRPS,almost too much! Thanks, Dana Blodgett _________________ Dana Blodgett

Dana. Read your post!...Ive been considering this video for remake..And as my technique has improved over the last year, I think I can get this one up for you on Youtube...I will probably make it 2 parts...I really appreciate you tuning in...Mick _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Hey Mickey, I'm honored to talk with you! That would be great if you could revisit this classic. I was having problems with the opening lick in the solo, which seems to be very similar to the intro. If you could explain string #'s, knee levers(F# to G raise?)etc. Keep up the good work, and and if you have any other NRPS other than LA cowboy and Panama Red I would greatly appreciate it.
I just recently(January)got back into PSG after being away from it for 21 years.
Thanks and I appreciate the response.

Well Dana, welcome back to the PSG after all these years!!>..The intro lick uses double stops and single notes, and requires a good bit of blocking to phrase correctly..The close intervals with the 3 and 1 string can be phrased numerous different ways too, like pulling string 1 with your left middle finger behind the bar...I can easily break all that down for you. Ive been away from my camera for several weeks with a busy flight schedule (currently right up the coast in San Francisco)..I will get to it as soon as I possibly can...thanks for your email.....Mick _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Hey Mick, I'm in no hurry at all,I've been sidetracked with a remodel of the family room anyway,it might be a few days before I get back to my'Bud anyway! I have an old ShoBud('74)with 3+4 set up which I bought in Jan. from Jim Palenscar in Oceanside. He said it's an "Emmons" set-up...with the "E's" on the left and the RKL=F# to G (1+7)raise and the RKR=D/C#-C#(2+9)on the right.I learned the basics on an old ShoBud Maverick that was unstable and frustrating in the early seventies. No hurries and no worries! I appreciate anything that you do, I've viewed most all your videos, but I have had some problems with the videos stopping for some reason! I've also taken a "peak" at your new book and it seems to have a lot of technical info for newbies and oldies alike! Good job! I need to get one sometime. Thanks and enjoy SF!
