A rare opportunity to see one of the best ever, with a fellow Hawaiian music all-star cast

From that link:

"Bobby Ingano on slide steel guitar."

Please, somebody, anybody, make it stop.

I had to bite my tounge to keep from ragging about the 'slide' myself...

Tell us how it went, Steve, should be fun!

Bobby is a master of taste and tone. Just got home from the show and really enjoyed it. All the volume swells with just his pinky. Beautiful music!

Which guitar was he using for that show? He likes bakelites and frypans equally it seems. The pinky finger for volume seems to have been a mostly Hawaiian thing for decades, and he's really good at it.

Odds are, Bill, it's the 'Creller-ized' long scale fry-pan.

Definitely a long scale 6 string fry pan. I'm not astute enough to know what tuning he was using.
What a joy it was to hear!
