Hey Robert....I've been talking to Chuck Campbell and I'm going to be in Beckley that week-end, so I'm trying to work out my schedule to return to Nashville on Monday instead of Sunday so I may just crash your party...if for no other reason just to keep Chuck on his best behavior. It would be nice to see Boo if he makes it, and Joe S. and all the other steelers.
I'll keep you posted,
Russ

Well it's just 8 days away now and it looks like we will have a good turn out. The drummer I had lined up called me the other day and said he can't make it so I am working on finding another one. If any of you local guys that are coming know of a drummer, let me know and I will get in touch with them. Joe Sapp has been woodshedding everyday so we might have to cut his strings off.

Well just 1 day left to go. Bob Hayes is heading up this way this morning and coming to the Troubadour tonight along with Joe Sapp, Don Poland, Terry McCumbee and a few others so I guess I'll have my hands full tonight. LOL Hey guys, just remember now, tomorrow could be pay back. I'm looking forward to hearing Paul and Gary Lee tomorrow and Glenn, bring the guitar. See you all there.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out yesterday. Thanks to Joe Sapp, Don Poland and Terry McCumbee for their help. Thanks to Jim Thompson for making the trip down. Jim you done some very fine picking, I really enjoyed it. Bob Hayes, thanks for making the trip up from Church Hill and maybe next time you can get a room a little closer. Joel Newman, thanks to you also and next time you are getting a set of your own. I want to hear more of you. Gary Lee Gimble and Paul Vendemmia, a very special thanks to you guys for coming and Paul next time you have to do a longer set. Tommy Auldridge you had a real good set no matter how you felt about it and thank you for bringing brother Mike along. Mike Auldridge, what can I say. Thank you so much for coming. When you and Gary Lee done that set you had that Super Slide a talking. I kept looking for the pedals. Where do they hide them at LOL. I would like to say how sorry I am to the guys that never got a chance to play but next time you will get on the list. Thanks again to everyone and if I missed anyone I am sorry.

Mike was playing a new double neck Super Slide and what tone and what picking he done. He done a set with Tommy and then Mike and Gary Lee done a set, man I could have listen to that for hours. Bob,
I got back to Church Hill at 3AM...one pit stop in Wythville,Va..and good capichino. All you guys were great!!..I enjoyed just sittin in and pickin with the guys..and rekindlin' old freindships from days gone by.Ron Eyler,an old idol of mine from the Big Dipper Day's..took a trip down memory lane....as well as some of the other guys. Made some new friends too!. We had a blast. I'm not much of a soloist...kind of a "seat of my pant's picker...or try to play what fits..nothin' fancy!.I don't want to take Paul Frank's job ! He's got bills to pay!! Ha ha...So that's about what I done.. Hope that I didn't step on anybody's toes! I just had a great time pickin' & grinin'
But it was great fellow ship..oops...don't forget the ladies!!!!!!!We drag them along..and all that they hear is.."Steel Stuff & I Remember When!!. But the significant others did a great job keeping US all in line! The weather was absolutly beuitiful!!I hope that everyone made it home OK..All of you..thanks for having me! It was well worth the trip!..Next time will be bigger!!!..Joe...I'll let you know how that polish works!
