MSA S12 8 and 5 $1600 shipped and insured

Post by Mark Greenway »

I had this guitar listed a few months ago, and I decided to give it to my son. It's a little overwhelming as a starter. ]My son would like a s d 10, and would trade for the the right s d or double 10.

It has a new case that has wheels. Red laquer with a few bar dings. Plays well.

Nashville LTD, SD-10

Post by Brian McCorquodale »

Hey Mark,
I've been considering getting into a 12 string. I currently have a Nashville LTD, SD-10.
I'd be interested in a guitar swap if we both think it'll be a good deal.
I can send you some pictures of my guitar tomorrow evening and we can discuss more details then.
Have a great day!

Here's my guitar!
It's truly a great guitar.
I play it 3-4 times a week (shows and at home).
I bought new legs and knee levers for it about 6 months ago.
If you're interested in a trade, send me a PM with your phone number and we can discuss things further.
Have a good'n!

Trade?

Post by Brian McCorquodale »

Hey Mark,
Wanted to see if you're still considering a trade?
No worries if not, I'd just like to know one way or the other.
Have a great day!

Brian, I got an email from Mark last Friday saying that he was leaving for Sturgis on Saturday. He may not have Forum access while he's gone.

Hello Brian,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I must thank Jim for letting you know that I had gone to Sturgis. I am back now. Brian, you have a really nice guitar for trade, but my son is looking for something other than a Nashville LTD. Thanks a lot and sorry again for the delay in responding.

Mark, would you and your son be interested in my MSA Vintage XL 3x4 plus some cash? It isn't an SD-10, just an S-10, but a very similar aesthetic to your steel.

Phil, send a picture and we will consider that. He is wanting an Emmons or ShoBud, but you never know. Thanks

Hey Mark pics are up here.

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopi ... sa+vintage

It was great for me to start on.

You might be able to get into a bud, but even in this economy, i think you'd have to pony up some cash for an emmons, unless it was one of the student ones from the 70s. You'd probably have to pony up for a bud too.

I think David Kellog still has a black lacquer MSA d-10 for sale, but I don't think for trade, at a great price, if you're thinking D-10.

Either way, like your steel, let me know.

Thanks,
Phil

Hey Phil,

I looked at your guitar. I remember seeing this guitar before. It is a nice looking MSA, but it is still not what we are looking for. Thanks again Phil. I hope you find what you are looking for also.

HI...
I WAS WONDERING IF THE MSA WAS STILL FOR SALE OR TRADE. I HAVE A BMI-SD12 THAT I PLAY AS A NINE AND SOMETIMES A TEN STRING. IT HAS 7 PEDALS AND 5 KNEES
I DONT KNOW IF YOU AND YOUR SON WOULD BE INTERESTED IN IT BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A GO.

Dashawn, Thanks for the offer. You never know what a person might trade for, but that would still not make it any easier for him as a beginner. Thank you very much for the offer though.
