You can see Tommy's admiration for Lloyd when he looks over and grins at what Lloyd is playing. Lloyd is still amazing.

A great show of intonation control especially at the end when they're playing single notes in unison.
When did that take place?

That really struck me as well, Ray. A couple sets of good ears there.
Ebb, I'm jealous you got to see that live. Very cool.

With all due respect,no one smoked anyone. Two masters of the instrument with very different styles, playing some fantastic "Music" together.

yes and I would like to add that, IMHO of course, that when you get to the level of experience and accomplishments that these two men have there is no need to compete with anyone.

I wish they'd put out "An Evening Of E9th" on a disc.

No one has ever or will ever smoke Lloyd Green.
I will also tell you, anyone who considers himself a competitor on this instrument is self absorbed and only considering himself, not the music nor the instrument. Very Happy
Thanks for the kind words.

Tommy,

I say: No one has ever or will ever smoke Tommy White.
That C6 sounds what you produce on the E9 neck it's amazing.
Wish I live in the Nashville for some lessons from you.

Hey Chris, this ain't the gold rush days with gunfights in the streets... If it was, then Lloyd is like Wyatt Earp Smile

In rock terms he's a legend like Clapton.... Come to think of it, Emmons is kinda like the Jimi Hendrix of steel guitar so that means Tommy White is like the Eddie Van Halen of steel pickin' Cool

Mucho Respecto! Cool

I didn't see where anyone was trying to "smoke" the other guy...By the look on your face Tommy,,it looked like you were enjoying what Lloyd was doing and Lloyd was listening carefully to what you were playing and liking it just as much...I like listening to both styles...Keep up the good work....Carson
