I am looking for a good backing track of the old drum solo, wipe out, without the guitar or other leads on it. Anyone have something like that, please let me know.

thanks in advance

The way I do it is to find a midi file that you like then import it into an editor program and take out the parts you don't want and then save it.

Gee Whiz Andy, I only wish I was smart enough with computers to do that, I would if I could, but I can't!! Maybe we can get some one on the forum to take those guitar parts out of that song above that John sent, its a great track, but I would like to replace the guitar player on that track with my own guitar & steel guitar, then post that on here & I could get it that way.

Ernie,

If it's a midi file you can send it to me and I'll edit out what you want. Just let me know what parts you want taken out. I'll just rename it so you'll still have a copy of the original.

Ernie,

I found a midi for you. Do you want just the bass and drums left in there? This midi has organ, piano, guitar lead, guitar solo, guitar rhythm, bass, and drums. I can do a few different ones for you if you want, it doesn't take long to edit them.

Keith sent me a great version of wipe out, without just the drums, rhythm gtr & bass guitar. It works so good for me & I can't thank him enough for his help, so 'Thanks Again Keith'!!

You're welcome Ernie, no problem.

Anyone who wants the wipeout midi can shoot me an email and I'll send it to you. It's very easy to edit a midi so changing keys or tempos or deleting/muting tracks, etc. is pretty easy.

If anyone has other midis they need edited I can do them for them, just send a copy of it and keep your original, I'll rename it on my end so that you end up with both copies.

Kenny, the file can be burnt to a cd but it is a very small file, around 35kb so you may want to add more to the cd to make it worthwhile.

Later,

Keith

Keith, may I ask you what program do you use? Can Band In A Box do that?

Thanks for clearing things up,

Alain,

Not sure if BIAB will do that or not, I don't use it much. The program I use is Sonar Producer Edition. Actually any of the old Cakewalk or Music Creators will do the same thing as long as the file is a midi file.
