Well, I'm just guessin but by the sound of the steel guitar especially near the end it sounds a lot like Speedy West on steel.

Yes, they are really top notch - Red Foley & his Crossroads Boys. Grady Martin and Jimmy Selph on Guitars, Bob Moore on Bass, Tommy Jackson on Fiddle and the legendary Bud Isaacs on Steel. :)

Sounds like Bud was sticking with the A6th tuning on this record. Most of us back in this era, IMHO, were greatly inspired by Noel Boggs when he worked and recorded with Bob Wiils.
