IMHO I don't think anyone played the STR any better than Barbara Mandrell. She was born with a Musical Talent that most of us could never achieve. I rememer her when she was playing a 4-Neck Wright at 12 years old at Cal's Corral Sunday afternoon television show at the upstairs Huntington Park, Ca. Ballroom. Who ever was around had to help get that humongous Guitar up the back steps for her. Little did any of us know what a powerhouse that little girl was going to turn into !

I was fotunate enough to get her autograph on my white signature guitar when she was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of fame in St Louis.
