Well you just never know. I bought a Profex 1 really cheap and now I'm having problems with it. Did the batteryless mod and Brown chip thing, still cuts out on me. So ... Anybody found a good pre-amp effects unit they like to replace a Profex. Don't think it's worth the time and money to try and have it fixed. _________________ 76 Emmons Push Pull, Williams 600, ShoBud Pro I, MSA Classic, Remington SteelMaster dbl 8, MSA Super Slide dbl 8, Gold Tone 6, And other instruments and equipment I can't afford. |

Ok, how about this. Is anyone using a Digitech GSP 1101? _________________ 76 Emmons Push Pull, Williams 600, ShoBud Pro I, MSA Classic, Remington SteelMaster dbl 8, MSA Super Slide dbl 8, Gold Tone 6, And other instruments and equipment I can't afford. |

I also have a PROFEX 1. It still works but occasionally it did hang. I have it (all by itself)in a 4 space rack case, but the whole unit was rather bulky and I only used the Profex for delay and reverb. I replaced it with a Digitech RP150 and have never looked back. Great unit and small footprint with a lot of the same effects. _________________ 1999 Carter D10 (9x8),Digitech RP150,Hilton Volume Pedal,Roland Cube 80XL,Nashville 112,BJS Bar |

Richard,
Thanks for the reply. I have RP 150 but didn't get much warmth out of it. I'll try it again when I get home and see what I can do with it. If it works for the sound I like I could save some $
Thanks

Mack: Not sure how you have it hooked up, but I run my steel (Carter with BLXR16s) into the RP150 using delay, reverb and EQ into the high gain of my N112. I fine tune the EQ with the N112 and am quite pleased with the sound. Seems warm.
