Foot switch for Peavey Session 500

Post by Lyndle Gregory »

Does anyone have a footswitch for a Session 500? Just bought an old amp to use at home and there is no switch with it.

Try guitar center or musicians friend. They should have them in stock.

Lyndle,
There also was a control box for the Session 500 that attached to the leg of your steel. I think it controlled the string effect and maybe even the reverb.

I have a 4-switch 'Peavey' unit that says 'Standard Remote Switch'... The switches are marked (from L to R) Selector/Combiner/Reverb/Distort. It has a 7-pin (DIN?) connector. Let me know if this is what you're looking for.

Howdy Lyndle--I have a Peavey switch with 3 push buttons on it marked EFX-1, EFX-2, and reverb. The cable end has 7 pins in it. Never been used. I think I got this for a spare but don't remember if it was for my 500 years ago or another Peavey amp. Jack

The session 500 has a six pin setup and has a leg clamp control. I had one years ago, love the amp but too heavey to lug around this one I am leaving at home but would like to find an original switch.
