Jerry,
What amp were you using at the Tulsa show a few weeks ago? It appeared to be a small Fender amp, and had about the best tone I heard all weekend.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

I was not there, but I'll bet it was mostly just Jerry being Jerry.

What Larry said. The Roller always sounds great regardless of the amp. Jody. |

Hey guys, I just got home from playing tonight and checking out the forum and ran across my name. I appreciate you guys for the uplifting words. We all can certainly use encouragement from time to time. I was playing thru an early 70's Fender Deluxe Reverb amp at the Tulsa show. I was playing my 84 Franklin which I do like very much.

I thought that was what I was seeing. I wanted to bring this up on the Forum just to show that you don't need a zillion watts and 15" speakers to get a great steel sound. This amp may be limited in a large venue, but that's what mic's are for. I'll reiterate, this was probably the best sounding amp I heard all weekend. _________________ Darvin Willhoite

Oh how I love those old Fender tube amps! My uncle has a late sixties siverface Super Reverb (with 4 10's). He has a late 60's Gibson 335 and plays it through an early echoplex into the Super Reverb... maybe the best guitar tone I've ever heard in my life! Never thought to plug a steel into that setup... _________________ Respectfully,
