If you know of steel guitar patriotic songs please list them here.

Thank you in advance;

It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

I do not have a list, but I try to get in 2 songs. "The Star Spangled Banner", and "America The Beautiful". I seem to draw a lot of smiles, and much applause, when the song ends. And if any Politician does not like it, TOO BAD.

You go Ronnie,
We are doing Battle Hymn Of The Republic, and America the beautiful, ending the trilogy with God Bless The USA. Had rehearsal last nite and can't wait till Sunday cause it don't get much better than this.Did I mention that I'm in the praise group at my Church, having the time of my life, no smoky bars fightin drunks, just some occasional runnin and shouting when the spirit moves us.

Happy 4th and a hearty thank you to all our Veterans, and military ...Bill

When they end the damn stupid wars I'll play something patriotic. The rabid militarists seem to be doing just fine without any musical encouragement from me! I have two Fourth of July gigs but will just play the usual stuff...

Check out Lloyd Green's Day of Decision album. It doesn't get more patriotic than that.

I will be using America The Beautiful for my gigs this weekend. Seems like the folks always like that one, Never had a chance to play the Star Bangled Banner, but maybe someday, who knows.

Ernie Pollock Very Happy
