Traveling the west, Looking for Places to Sit in on Steel

Post by Wayne Wallett »

Hi,
I am in my RV traveling the western states on vacation looking for bands and gigs to sit in. Just for the fun of it, pay not necessary, just a good band that plays good country music is all I ask and would enjoy a good steel player as an addition for a few days. If you know of any bands or clubs our west drop me an email or call my cell # below. Have references and best equipment, 40+ years experience. I sat in with a band in Cheyenne WY last night at the Outlaw Saloon, had a great time. What do you got?

I saw Wayne playing last year in Richfield, Pa at their summer festival. Let me say, Wayne is one hot steel player!

Hello Ya'll from the road.
Had the opportunity to sit in and pick with a fine bunch of fellow pickers in a band called 'West' in Cody WY last Fri and Sat. night. Many thanks to them for letting me sit in.

Hello to all who posted. Trip was great, wish I could have found more places to pick but did get to sit in 4 times and had a great time. Was a bit surprised there wasn't more happening out there but so be it. Traveled
11000 miles, 47 days, 1800+ pictures so have lots of memories. Many thanks to all those who let me sit in, had a great time. Planning trip to Texas in the fall for about 3 weeks so may be back on here again.
Regards,
