fender D8 SOLD

Post by Tom Zielinski »

I have two steels for sale or trade. I am looking for a nice archtop or a reasonable amount of cash so I can buy an archtop.

1950s Fender D8 refinished in Shell pink. weird but looks nice. Tuners are slotted so this one stays in tune. Electronics are all new i think, the pickups are original. really a nice player. Its very lightweight too (I had 2 other D8s that were twice as heavy. has case but no legs. $500.

1950s or 60s bakelite rickenbacker 6 string lap with case. amazingly nice condition. the tuners have the cool flip top cover. $950

You pay shipping.....and $1400 takes them both.

I bought the Ricky fro $950 and can't take a loss on it. I never really touched it. I bought it from someone on the forum a while back for that price.

The Flip Top indicates the Panda is a 1949 or 1950.

What pickups are in the Fender? Stock, or if replaced, with what?

Thanks!

The pickups are the original trapezoid pickups. the guitar looks so much more like surf or shell pink than the pics show. Its not bright but more like the shell pink color you would see on the old 60s reissue japanese strats.

Tom,

If still available I am interested in the Fender. Can you tell me what is the scale length and what is the over all string spacing. I will be in Buffalo on Saturday and could pick up and save the shipping headache.
